Sean Drake

Sean Drake is the Founder & Managing Partner of Stony Lonesome Group where he serves as the Managing General Partner and Chief Investment Officer of six funds. Stony Lonesome Group is a Tampa, FL based Venture Capital firm with $125m AUM invested across 70+ companies specializing in Mission Focused Investing in Dual-Use technology. SLG purposefully relocated to Tampa in 2021 to be closer to MacDill AFB and USSOCOM who are early adopters of their portfolio of Defense Tech companies. Mr. Drake serves on the Board of Directors of Arria NLG, Hemotek, Warrior Centric Health, RxBandz, Aceso Plasma and Cyberspatial. Mr. Drake is also the Founder & Chairman of the Board for Pathfinder Solutions Group, a consulting firm focused on Go-To-Market strategies, sales, and government capture for Stony Lonesome Group portfolio companies. Sean was previously a high-performance coach at the US Olympic Training Center working with USA Cycling and USA Triathlon. He competed in the Ironman World Championships in HI and the Duathlon World Championships in Italy as a member of Team USA. Sean served as an Infantry Captain in the US Army. Mr. Drake holds a Bachelor of Science, Engineering Management, United States Military Academy, West Point NY (1990) and a Master of Science, Exercise Science, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs CO (1999).
