The Miami-Dade Innovation Authority (“MDIA”) is a social impact organization that strengthens the relationship between private technology companies and the public sector with the ultimate goal of fast-tracking innovation that improves quality of life in communities. Founded as an outcome of a collaboration with Miami-Dade County and key technology leaders, MDIA launched in 2023 with an equal match of private, public and philanthropic funding from The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, Citadel Founder and CEO, Ken Griffin, and Miami-Dade County. This discussion will explore MDIA's unique model, its ongoing collaboration with regional economic engines, such as Miami International Airport, and its growing presence in South Florida with its leadership in the ClimateReady Tech Hub.
