Toia was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Currently, she is the Director of Coalitions at Radical Partners. Previously, she was the Managing Director of GET Cities Miami – a national initiative designed to accelerate the representation and leadership of women, trans, and non-binary people in tech by developing inclusive tech hubs across the United States. In her role, she specializes in aligning local actors through her expertise in system mapping and ecosystem dynamic analysis. She is currently leading the first local initiative of GET Champions, designed to increase and retain women, trans, and non-binary employees in selected cohort companies in 2023. Before GET Cities, she served as the Executive Director of Cadena Foundation, a nonprofit with nine international offices dedicated to responding to humanitarian crises and natural disasters worldwide. Toia also spent two years at a nonprofit dedicated to empowering low-income women and promoting labor inclusion in multinational companies. This followed her research in social innovation, economic development, and sustainability strategies throughout her academic career at three top universities: Oxford, Duke University, and Universidad Católica of Argentina.
