Tessa Robinson

Tessa Robinson serves as the Director of Partnerships for Recurrent Military, an Emmy-award winning media company focused on making authentic connections with the military community, through their brands Task & Purpose, We Are The Mighty, The War Zone, MilSpouseFest, and Military Influencer Conference. Robinson is the author of The New York Times’ award-winning series, The Deployment Diary, and spent six years as Editor in Chief for We Are The Mighty. Prior to a giant career pivot that allowed her to see her children regularly, Robinson spent over a decade with the federal government, including an 8.5-year stint with the Central Intelligence Agency. She was instrumental in standing up the Office of Emergency Response and Recovery at the General Services Administration and served in the Office of Science and Technology at the Department of Homeland Security. During her time at DHS, Robinson deployed with FEMA as an embed in logistics for Hurricanes Katrina and Rita response. She has her Master’s degree in National Security Studies and is a graduate of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government’s Executive Education Program, Leadership in Crises.
