A seasoned businessman, investor, and philanthropist, Tamara is the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Fatima Group, a longstanding family-owned company with a predominant presence in three key industries: shipping, hospitality, and media. Tamara played a pivotal role in a recent collaboration with Marriott International, successfully securing a $34 million dollar public-private investment for the conversion of one of the hospitality group's hotels into a Marriott brand. Tamara was born in Haiti and raised in Miami, where she attended the University of Miami and received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting. Her earlier corporate experience includes leading accounting teams at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Southern Glazer’s, the leading distributor of beverage alcohol in the world. Tamara's strategic guidance has propelled Island TV, the newest media acquisition for the group, to garner a cable viewership exceeding 400,000 households in South Florida, while simultaneously reaching millions through its diverse digital platforms. Furthermore, under her stewardship, Island TV has expanded its footprint to 15 island markets, establishing a strong presence through cable channels across the Caribbean. With an exceptional ability to cultivate robust relationships within communities, Tamara has been instrumental in creating a unique opportunity for entities to connect with the community, fostering understanding and collaboration. Her extensive community engagement is not only evident in Island TV's success but is also reflected in her role on several local and national boards, including the United Way of Broward and the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM).
