Shomari Wade advises clients from Fortune 50 companies to emerging startups on all aspects of government contracts law. With nearly two decades of experience, he has litigated hundreds of bid protests before the Government Accountability Office, Court of Federal Claims, Boards of Contract Appeals, and state and local forums. Shomari regularly counsels companies participating in federal small business programs, including SBA 8(a), HUBZone, Woman Owned, and Service Disabled Veteran Owned programs, and represents clients before the SBA Office of Hearings and Appeals on size, status, mentor protégé, joint venture, and compliance matters. He also supports mergers and acquisitions involving government contractors, conducts contract and compliance due diligence, and assists with federal investigations, prime sub disputes, teaming agreements, and FOIA requests. Shomari advises financial institutions on transactions under the Federal Assignment of Claims Act and has counseled on more than $1 billion in federal contract financing. He also provides ethics advice and training, drawing on his service on the D.C. Board of Ethics and Government Accountability and experience in the District of Columbia’s Executive Office of the Mayor.
