Sally Roberts

Sally Roberts is a sports diplomat, entrepreneur, and decorated athlete who operates at the intersection of global diplomacy, business, and elite competition. As a State Department Sports Diplomat, she has represented the United States in international initiatives, using sports as a tool to strengthen alliances, foster economic partnerships, and promote American leadership on the world stage. A U.S. Army combat veteran, Sally served in Psychological Operations, specializing in strategic influence and cross-cultural communication. She was also a member of the World Class Athlete Program (WCAP), representing both Team USA and the U.S. Army in elite wrestling competitions worldwide. This dual role honed her ability to perform under pressure, lead in high-stakes environments, and integrate military precision with elite athletic performance. As the Co-Founder and CEO of Wrestle Like A Girl, Sally built an internationally recognized organization dedicated to expanding opportunities for girls and women in wrestling, fostering public-private partnerships, and ensuring long-term sustainability in athletics. Under her leadership, girls’ wrestling has become one of the fastest-growing high school sports, and women’s wrestling has achieved NCAA Championship status, solidifying its position as a revenue-generating collegiate sport. A World Cup Champion, two-time World Medalist, and three-time U.S. National Champion in women’s wrestling, Sally brings firsthand experience in sustaining peak performance, adapting to evolving challenges, and leading with precision.
