Rob Sladen, MBA is the Co-Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zulu Pods, a U.S. aerospace and defense technology company focused on next-generation mission-critical components. Rob’s career blends deep technical expertise with strategic leadership. Before founding Zulu Pods with his wife, Daniella, he spent over a decade at Pratt & Whitney, where he worked across mechanical systems engineering and program management in the gas turbine engine space, supporting military engine programs and new product development. Driven by a passion for innovation and practical problem-solving, Rob co-founded Zulu Pods during a family road trip — turning a conversation about simplifying lubrication systems for small engines into a company that designs advanced, decentralized lubrication technology for drones, missiles, and other aerospace platforms. At Zulu Pods, he oversees strategic direction, execution, and company culture, emphasizing trust, servant leadership, and work-life balance while guiding teams to deliver cutting-edge hardware for national security applications. Rob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Connecticut School of Business. He is also known for his approachable leadership style — even preferring to wear shorts to the office — and credits his two children with inspiring his dedication to building impactful aerospace technology.
