Maurice Duque

Maurice has served as the IT Manager of Research at Nicklaus Children’s Health System (NCHS) since 2021. He has over 20 years of informatics experience in the healthcare and research fields in large academic and medical settings. He directs and oversees all Information Technology aspects, processes, and technological resources in support of the current and future needs of the research and innovations missions at NCHS. He is responsible for application deployments, system development, and support of complex research systems, research data repositories, and data sharing. Before joining NCHS, Maurice was a Sr. Systems Analyst at University of Miami’s Health Information Technology Department where he led multidisciplinary teams in enterprise-wide implementations of research systems. Maurice earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Queens College CUNY, a Master of Science in Education in Exercise Physiology and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Miami.
