Matthew Squires

Matt Squires represents domestic and international emerging growth companies and venture capital firms in venture financings, M&A, and capital markets transactions. He has advised hundreds of company-side clients from early to late stage, and numerous investor-side clients across industries such as AI, SaaS, fintech, robotics, cloud infrastructure, clean energy, telecom, health care, biotech, pharmaceuticals, real estate, aviation, agriculture, energy, retail, food services, and logistics. His practice also includes general corporate representation, securities regulatory counseling, and not-for-profit organization representation. Matt has extensive cross-border experience, particularly in Latin America, where he has handled transactions valued at over $30 billion. He has also worked on deals involving jurisdictions across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. He is fluent in Portuguese and conversational in Spanish. He represents issuers and underwriters in SEC-registered IPOs, follow-on offerings, and ADS offerings, and advises on registered and Rule 144A/Regulation S debt offerings, including high-yield and investment-grade bonds, as well as euro-, Brazilian real-, and Mexican peso-denominated issuances. Matt also counsels on spin-offs, credit agreements, exchange offers, and tender offers.
