Maissan is a Board Director and Chief Financial Officer for Red 6, a US-based defense technology startup focused on augmented reality solutions for the US DOD and global allies. He is also a Founder of Equity Strategics - a corporate strategy and principal investments firm focused on multi asset class opportunities , particularly between the GCC and the United States. Previously, for 12 years, Maissan was Managing Director for the Dubai royal family’s investment firm, Dubai International Capital (“DIC”), focusing on private equity investment in Europe, North America, and the Middle East. He led numerous investments for the group including the complete buyout of the Madame Tussauds Group, the London Eye, Doncasters Aerospace Precision Castparts, Almatis SpecialtyAlumina, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, and the GCC’s largest luxury retailer, the Rivoli Group. In additionprospective to bids for the acquisition of Liverpool Football Club, Nobu Restaurants, and IMAX. He has also served as a Director on the Board of Rivoli Group, Almatis, Jordan Dubai Capital, Jordan Dubai Bank, CBRE Dubai, and as the Chairman of Holiday Inn Express Hotels in the Gulf region. Most recently, Maissan was Chairman of Bahrain Fintech Bay, and a member of the global advisory board of the world’s largest investment citizenship firm, Henley & Partners. Prior to his time in Dubai, Maissan was an investment banker with Bank of America both in New York and London, UK where he focused on mergers, acquisitions and capital raising for numerous industrial sectors. Maissan started his career with Merrill Lynch where he worked briefly in their Bahrain office. Maissan holds an MBA from Georgetown University, Washington D.C. and a B.Sc. in Economics & Politics (with Honors) from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He has also completed executive mergers & acquisitions education at Stanford University in California.
