Every Business Starts Small: Growing in Miami & Globally
Tech for Enterprise | Entrepreneurship + Scaling
Juan, a 3X entrepreneur and devoted father to Alfonsina, hails from Trenque Lauquen, a small town in Argentina, where he grew up in an accounting family business. Now based in Miami, he is building LAZO, a venture enabling him to make a significant social impact and transform his lifelong industry. His efforts benefit countless entrepreneurs while revolutionizing the sector. Related to his academic background, Juan holds a double bachelor's degree in CPA and Business Administration. He graduated among the top 10 of his class at the Catholic University of Argentina and furthered his studies in business with scholarships in the United States, France, Germany, and Taiwan. Driven by the desire to create a substantial social impact, Juan aims to innovate and disrupt the CFO and Legal tech SaaS industry. He recognizes the potential of AI, automation, and standardization in building scalable products. As the CEO of Lazo, he founded and leads the #1 gateway for Latin American startups in the US. Through partnerships with early-stage startups, Juan helps structure their data and provides a comprehensive VC Ready SaaS solution to address their finance, tax, legal, and investor relations needs. Juan's entrepreneurial journey encompasses the establishment of Barrero & Asociados, a leading auditing, tax, legal, and consulting firm for Agribusiness, as well as the creation of CFOstartup, Latin America's premier consulting firm for startups and VCs. Overcoming numerous challenges, he expanded these companies nationally and internationally, cultivated strong business cultures, forged strategic partnerships, and built exceptional teams. Complementing his professional pursuits, Juan actively engages in non-profit work. He served as President of the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Argentina and the Ibero-American Federation. Additionally, he represented Argentina as President of the Argentine delegation of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance in Japan. In 2008, he held the position of President of Rotaract in Buenos Aires, fostering youth development under the Rotary umbrella.
