Jim Gill

Jim has more than forty years of experience in highly competitive and complex operating environments and is a recognized thought leader in technology solutions, leadership, innovation, and edge thinking in both the Public and Private Sectors. He is currently the founder of American Recon Ventures where he focuses on senior advisory services and investments in dual use technology companies and Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Pathfinder Ventures a government focused innovation and advisory firm dedicated to assisting innovative founders and companies scale emerging critical technology solutions in the federal market. He has extensive experience as an author, senior executive, entrepreneur, investor, and strategic advisor. Jim is a technology industry veteran who has served in operational and executive leadership roles from Director to CEO and has helped build, scale and lead teams at all stages of growth from startups to a billion dollars in annual revenue. He is an active angel investor, board member and advisor to several dual use technology companies and a senior strategic advisory for National Security at eMerge Americas and innovation and technology hub Neptune Sheild. Jim is a retired United States Army Senior NCO and Combat Veteran, having served for over two decades as a soldier, trainer, and leader in various global operational environments. Jim is currently an Ambassador at the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and is a life member of the Association of the United States Army and the Global SOF Foundation.
