Gen. David M. Hodne assumed command of Transformation and Training Command on October 2, 2025. Hodne graduated from the U.S. Military Academy and commissioned as an infantry officer in 1991. He holds a Bachelor of Science in aerospace engineering and a Master of Arts in Military Studies in Unconventional warfare from American Military University. He also completed a U.S. Army War College Fellowship at Georgetown University. Hodne commanded at every echelon from Company through Division, leading Ranger, Stryker, Cavalry, Mechanized, and Light Infantry formations. He is also a Distinguished Member of the 75th Ranger Regiment. His General Officer assignments include Deputy Commanding General (Maneuver) for the 4th Infantry Division, Chief of Infantry, Commandant of the U.S. Army Infantry School, Director of the Soldier Lethality Cross-Functional Team, Commanding General of the 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson, Director of the Army Transition Team, and Deputy Commanding General, Futures and Concepts, Army Futures Command. He is married and has two children.
