Gabriela Baralt, M.S. BCBA, is an IT Clinical Analyst at Nicklaus Children’s Health System in Miami, FL and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She obtained an M.S. in Psychology from the University of Miami, specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Her passion and dedication to Neurodivergent individuals began at the University of Miami where she implemented one-to-one interventions and conducted assessments in various settings, from early intervention clinics to interdisciplinary school-based programs, as well as developing a Capstone study dedicated at composing system-level projects aimed at enhancing training for medical professionals working with Neurodivergent patients. Gabriela then moved on to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital as an Adaptive Care Behavior Analyst, where she assisted the development of programs tailored to the needs of neurodivergent individuals in the hospital setting, in addition to the development and implementation of virtual training programs for staff. She then transitioned to the role of IT Clinical Analyst where she supports The DRIVE Program. In this role, she works with Neurodivergent individuals in the journey of obtaining their Driver’s License using a virtual reality driving simulator where students can work on skill building in a safe environment. The program focuses on anxiety reduction around the idea of real world driving by using gradual exposure and systematic desensitization to expose students to the stimuli involved with driving, thus, creating more confident and prepared drivers. Gabriela is dedicated to supporting the Neurodivergent community and aims to further establish essential resources throughout the community.
