Edmundo Casas is a prominent Chilean engineer and entrepreneur with academic training in electronic engineering and an MSc from the Federico Santa María Technical University and a PhD from the University of Deusto. He has been a professor and researcher at prestigious universities in the Americas, including Chile, Mexico, Colombia, Spain, and the United States, in addition to studying at Stanford, the University of California in San Diego, and the University of Chicago. His professional career spans from electric generation at Endesa Chile and SONY Electronics to the founding of Kauel Inc., specializing in artificial intelligence for the energy industry. Casas is recognized for his leadership in technological innovation, being a member of important organizations and awarded multiple prizes, including one from FORBES in 2022 as CEO of one of the fastest-growing companies. This year 2024, he received an award in Dubai from the Internet 2.0 Conference for its recognized global leadership in Artificial Intelligence.
