Dr. Monica Coley

Dr. Monica Coley is a Health Informaticist and Senior Business Development Manager within Amazon Web Services’ (AWS) state and local government healthcare provider business. She also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the D. Bradley McWilliams School of Biomedical Informatics. Dr. Coley is responsible for guiding hospitals and health systems through cloud innovation initiatives. She joined AWS from Tegria Services Group, where she served as a Principal Consultant within the Hospital-at-Home business. Dr. Coley also served in a variety of consulting and operational roles for over 17 years at Cerner Corporation. Throughout her career, her primary focus has been leading teams in the implementation and integration of healthcare systems for the clinical, revenue cycle, and interoperability arenas, as well as managing consulting operations and strategy. Dr. Coley worked at Morehouse School of Medicine prior to Cerner, where she had the opportunity to implement the school’s first Electronic Medical Record system, as well as manage an NIH-funded research center under the direction of Dr. David Satcher, former U.S. Surgeon General. She has also held various faculty roles with DeVry University, Emory University, The University of Miami, and The University of Phoenix throughout her career. Dr. Coley completed her Doctorate in Health Informatics from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston in January of 2023. She received her Master of Public Health, with a concentration in Health Care Outcomes Management, from Emory University, in May of 2004. Dr. Coley completed her Bachelor of Science in Public Health, with a concentration in Health Policy and Administration, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in May of 1996.
