Mina Teicher is a Professor of mathematics and neuroscience with an international reputation in algebraic geometry, computer vision, cryptology, cyber security, computational neuroscience, complex systems, and mathematical education. She is an internationally recognized leader and scientist, has published 150 papers, advised 80 students and lectures worldwide. She has held many prestigious international leadership positions in science and Innovation. She served as Chief Scientist of the Israel Government, Co-chair of the Future and Emerging Technologies Advisory Group of the European Commission, director of Emmy Noether Research Institute for Mathematics of the Max-Planck Society of Germany, Chair of the USA-Israel Binational Science Foundation, Chair of the Evaluation Committee of the Korea Institute for Advanced Study in Seoul, member of the Advisory Board of the Brain Center of the NYU Abu Dhabi University in the UA, judge of the Seed Award international startup competition in Shenzhen in China, and Chair of the board of the SNE Technologies LLC, and more. Professor Teicher advocates for women in STEM and initiated and led a program, ‘Advancing Women in Mathematics Across the Americas’, that aims to raise the numbers and visibility of girls and women in mathematics and its applications.
