Errol R. Norwitz, MD, PhD, MBA is a healthcare executive, physician-scientist, academician, and entrepreneur based in Boston. His current positions include: Executive Director, KMH Center for Health Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Babson College; Co-Founder and Chief Innovation & Impact Officer at CognitiveCare, Inc., a data analytics company using AI in the service of pregnancy health; and Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine. Prior positions include President & CEO of Newton-Wellesley Hospital, Mass General Brigham; a member of NICHD’s Board of Scientific Counselors; Chief Scientific Officer at Tufts MC/Tufts University; and Chair of the Department of Ob/Gyn at Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his medical training at the University of Cape Town (South Africa), PhD at Oxford University (as a Rhodes Scholar), clinical training in maternal-child health (Ob/Gyn, Maternal-Fetal Medicine) at Harvard, and MBA at Boston University. He is the author of 14 textbooks, 90+ book chapters, and 300+ original research articles and reviews (H-index 81). He is passionate about implementing creative, systems-based solutions to current challenges in the healthcare industry, both in the U.S. and worldwide.
