As the founder of Miami EdTech, Carlos is passionate about closing the skills gap and improving economic opportunities for the community through computer science advocacy and integration, digital skilling and workforce development. Miami EdTech has impacted the lives of thousands of learners and educators alike, particularly in the areas of STEM and Computer Science. He combines a passion for education and technology with a commitment to solving the biggest challenges in education. Carlos is an educator with over 20 years of experience in the K-12 and Higher Education sectors. He has a unique ability to translate complex ideas into accessible learning experiences. Carlos is also the founder and CEO of GoSprout, a cloud-based platform that empowers businesses to launch and manage dynamic apprenticeship initiatives, cultivating a skilled and motivated workforce. The mission of GoSprout is to create a brighter future by bridging the gap between ambition and achievement. GoSprout envisions a future where talent is cultivated, success is seeded, and everyone can grow and thrive. Carlos began his formal career in education as a New York City Teaching Fellow- a prestigious program with an 8 percent acceptance rate that places talented individuals into NYC’s highest-need schools. He served as a Program Director for Year Up, a nationally recognized Workforce program and recently launched a Registered Apprenticeship Program in Artificial Intelligence, one of the first of its kind and first Latino-led initiative.
