Brian Gonzalez is the Executive Director for Government Partnerships & Initiatives (GPI) in Intel's Global Government Affairs Group. He leads a global team that establishes strategic partnerships with governments, academic institutions, and ecosystem partners to enhance national competitiveness through programs that aim to develop new AI capabilities, skills, and capacity. This initiative is part of Intel's commitment to improve digital readiness on a global scale. Brian's team's mission aligns with Intel's initiative to engage with governments in 30 countries and collaborate with 30,000 institutions to empower over 30 million people with AI skills by 2030. Brian started his journey with Intel in 2000 at the Santa Clara headquarters. He has since taken on various global leadership roles, contributing significantly to large-scale national programs that leverage technology adoption for accelerated outcomes. In 2003, he relocated to Europe, where he was the Regional Manager for Intel's public sector engagement, and in 2006, he took on the role of Country Manager of Spain and Portugal. In 2010, he returned to Santa Clara to lead Intel's Global Education organization. In 2018, Brian relocated to Washington, DC, as a senior director for US public sector innovation policy. He returned to Santa Clara to take on his current global role in 2021. Brian is a frequent speaker on the shift from Industry 4.0 to a human-centric Industry 5.0 and its impact on transformational education programs, technology infrastructure for improved outcomes, and global collaboration as a core competency of high-performance teams. Brian has worked in over 100 countries and engaged with government officials, industry leaders, and educators to improve student outcomes, earning him an Intel Achievement Award. Brian received a degree in Business Administration from Villanova University and an MBA in International Business at the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird).
