Bob Dudley

Bob Dudley is the retired CEO of BP, a position he held from 2010 to 2020. During his 40 years with BP, he held a broad range of engineering, commercial, strategic, international, and executive roles and gained experience in strategic planning, risk management, international operations, HSE, and operational excellence. In 2018, he was named the Petroleum Executive of the Year by Energy Intelligence. Bob currently chairs the Oil and Gas Climate Initiative (OGCI), an international industry initiative focused on accelerating climate action. He serves as a director of Saudi Aramco, LyondellBasell & Freeport-McMoRan, chairs Accenture’s Global Energy board, the board of Axio, a private cyber risk quantification company and is vice chair for Prism Global Management LLC a private equity company. He’s on the Energy Advisory board for the Kingdom of Bahrain, is a director of 8 Rivers Capital, a world-leading Net Zero Solutions provider and RMI, a global company providing medical, security and technical staffing in complex environments worldwide. In May 2021, he launched Dudley Solar Developments, LLC. Bob holds dual American and British citizenship. He earned an MBA from Southern Methodist University, an MIM from the Thunderbird School of International Management (now part of Arizona State), and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois. In December 2009 he was awarded an Honorary CBE for services to global energy security and industry.
