Adrienne Johnston

Adrienne Johnston serves as President and CEO of CareerSource Florida. In February 2023, the CareerSource Florida Board of Directors unanimously appointed her to lead the Governor’s designated organization for workforce policy and investment. CareerSource Florida equips local workforce boards with resources to support businesses and job seekers on a journey to economic success. Johnston is leading transformational change within the CareerSource Florida network. Her leadership has resulted in improved outcomes through enhanced collaboration across the state workforce system. She has overseen implementation of the Reimagining Education and Career Help (REACH) Act priorities, including the Credentials Review Committee, the Master Credentials List, and the Florida Workforce System Transformation Plan. Her extensive experience in workforce services and applied research enables a strategic approach to positioning Florida as a global leader in talent development. Prior to her current role, Johnston served as Deputy Secretary of Workforce Services and Chief Economist for FloridaCommerce, where she championed a data-driven strategy for process improvement and policy development. She holds bachelor’s degrees in economics and political science and a master’s degree in applied economics from Florida State University.
