Aaron Kofford

Aaron Kofford is co-founder and CEO of BluePeak AI, where he is adapting AI technology originally developed at DARPA for warfare planning to FOREX trading. He also serves as a technical advisor to Overmatch VC. From 2019 to 2024, Aaron led advanced technology development at DARPA, managing a portfolio exceeding $250 million across AI, autonomous systems, tactical communications, electronic warfare, and maritime systems. He later served as Deputy Chief of DARPA’s Commercial Strategy Team, helping transition cutting-edge innovations to the private sector while mentoring more than 100 startups in partnership with venture capital, private equity, and corporate investors. Prior to DARPA, Aaron spent over a decade as an engineering contractor supporting NASA, the Department of Defense, and the Intelligence Community. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Colorado School of Mines, has broken the sound barrier and lived underwater for more than a week. He resides in Fairfax, Virginia, with his wife and four children.
