If invited, you will be allowed to form a team with other free agents the day of the hackathon, or you will be randomly assigned to a team.

Company teams can up to 5 members. Individual registrations (outside of a company team) will be informed how to create their teams after they submit their code challenge.
You are welcome to sign up as an individual and based on your code challenge you will be sent a firm acceptance or denial from the hackathon. If accepted, you will have an opportunity to create a team with other individuals whom have also been accepted. Further directions on this process will be released to those who have been accepted.
Yes, lots of food and beverages will be provided. Expect lots of snacks, drinks, and caffeine!
No. Just kidding! If you (and your teammates) think a nap at your house or a quick trip to Krispy Kreme will help your team, by all means- go for it. The development, however, needs to be done on premise.
You don’t need hackathon experience to join, but as an individual registration you do need to accept and complete our code challenge.
There are absolutely no restrictions on the technologies that you can use. You could build a Web application, a mobile app, a hardware hack, a robot, whatever captivates your imagination that uses your technology, computer science and/or engineering skills. Our sponsors,VISA and Kairos, will provide APIs which you can include in your projects for a chance to win further prizes.
We’ll be there along the way to support all the teams with any challenges they may face. Wyncode will have a team of developers on the floor who will act as mentors and will resolve any issues you may have.
Yes – all Hackathon participants receive a Tech Pass to the eMerge Americas conference just for participating in the hackathon.
Yep! We’ll have a quiet room set specifically for people who would like to take naps (long or short) during the hackathon. Just make sure to ask one of your teammates to wake you up!
Your team will be evaluated based your project, your presentation and by your interactions with the judges during the event. Several factors will be considered by the judges, such as innovation, user experience, implementation and others.
