Kathy is the instructor of Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership, the recipient of aNational Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education, at the George Washington School of Business in Washington, DC. Previously, shewas ManagingDirector of Vision Forward, a strategic planning consulting company. Kathyalso served as COO of the National Council on the Aging Development Corporationwhere she teamedto build and capitalize ventures in the boomer andsenior market. Herprior career was in the merger and acquisition andcompetitive analysis fields as an analyst and business developmentexecutive at MMI (acquired by Citigate). There, she advised Fortune100 companies on strategic decision-making.
Kathy serves has served on several boards including theAlzheimer’sAssociation, National Capital Area and United Women in Business. She is the recipient of a Washington’s Business Journal Woman Who Means Business award, an Influential Woman of Virginia award, is the founding DC National Association of Women Business Owner’s Woman of Distinction, and the recipient of a Most Influential Faculty Award at GW.She also serves asa Special Advisor to the Small Business Administration.
Kathyearned her BA in Englishfrom The University of Virginia and her MBA from Harvard BusinessSchool.She lives in the Washington, DC area with her husband and two kids, and two dogs, in a state of semi-controlled chaos.
