Colonel Kris Saling, the current director for USAREC’s newly-formed Innovation Directorate, is a recognized leader in the Army human capital enterprise. She has done extensive work in upgrading Army human resources decisions with data, analytics, and new processes for the past eight years helping the Army modernize their talent management processes. She assembles and employs teams of diverse technical experts to act as capability builders, experimenters, and innovators in the organizations she supports. During her time in the Army personnel space, she created and managed enhancements to the Army’s forecasting and strength management programs, created a data science functional team to support Army Talent Management, established the Army People Analytics directorate, established the Commanding General’s Innovation Cell for US Army Human Resources Command, and is now building, operating, and leading the new Innovation Directorate for US Army Recruiting Command.
