Imran is a dynamic leader with a rich and proven track record in law, civic engagement, and higher education that he brings to this role. Most recently, Imran served as Associate Vice President at Broward College, where he built and launched BCEx, an award-winning accelerator and entrepreneurship center. His responsibilities included oversight of the college’s corporate partnerships and talent pipeline initiatives. Prior to higher education, Imran spent more than decade committed to grassroots civic engagement, which contributing on the founding team of multiple startups, and two wonderful years as non-residential fellow at the Stanford Center for Internet and Society.

Under Imran’s leadership, Tech Equity Miami will assemble a $100 million funding consortium dedicated to increasing equity in tech, publicly tracking impact,and building a coalition of funders, project implementers and community supporters to amplify its outcomes.

Imran’s personal mission is to empower and unite communities through service, promote understanding, and create meaningful and lasting positive change. He is active in his community through his involvement with many organizations, including on the boards of Forum Club of the Palm Beaches and Leadership Florida –the state’s premier professional network representing the highest levels of leadership from Florida’s many diverse sectors. He is a native of South Florida and currently lives in Boca Raton with his wife, Dr. Abeer Aziz-Siddiqui, and their four children.
