Technology Correspondent, Financial Times
Hannah Murphy is the Financial Times technology correspondent based out of San Francisco. She leads the social media beat writing about Meta, Twitter and TikTok, and also helping to cover crypto – particularly the crossover between fintech and social media.
On top of writing for the paper and magazine, she regularly moderates panels for FT Live and other conferences, and has presented short documentaries for FT Video. She has also appeared live on slots with national broadcasters such as the BBC.
Before moving to California, she covered financial services including online trading, stockbroking, market structure and crypto assets from the FT’s London office, and won the the MHP 30 under 30 To Watch: Young Journalists of the year award in 2018.
