Dr. Lupe Diaz

Dr. Lupe Ferran Diaz currently serves as the Executive Director of the Department of Career and Technical Education which services over 105,000 students enrolled in Career and Technical Education programs that are aligned with the One Community One Goal targeted industries. Prior to this appointment, she served as Project Director for the Smaller Learning Communities Grant and was responsible for overseeing the district’s NAF career academy programs. She is well respected and revered as an early leader in the use of technology in the classroom. Dr. Diaz was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and holds a B.A, in Business Education from Hunter College-City University of New York, an M.A. in Business Education and a Ph.D. in Vocational Education from The Ohio State University.
