Angela Maria Camacho

President of the Board, Colombian American Chamber of Commerce

Angela Camacho is a lawyer with +25 years of experience, serving in progressive legal and corporate affairs roles. She is the President of the Board of Directors of the Colombian American Chamber of Commerce in Miami, former President of the Board of Directors of Sistema B Internacional -B Corps partner for Latin America and the Caribbean-. She combines her board roles with her consulting practice.

She served as the Reputation and Public Affairs Vice President of Newlink Communications. Prior to her career as a consultant Angela spent 11 years at Microsoft, working as Legal and Corporate Affairs GM -Associate General Counsel of Microsoft- for Microsoft Latin America and the Caribbean where she led the areas of legal, compliance, antipiracy, corporate social responsibility and government affairs.

Prior to working for Microsoft, Angela was the Legal and Government Affairs Vice President for AT&T Colombia S.A. in Colombia where she guided the organization through the challenges and opportunities that existed in the rapidly changing telecommunications industry, advising on risks and trends and building coalitions, negotiating agreements in the telecommunications sector in the Country.

Angela started her career in the oil sector, where she spent 8 years working for British Petroleum Company (BP) and Compañia Shell de Colombia Inc., where she spearheaded programs involving environment, energy, labor, royalties, citizen participation.
Angela has earned several recognitions for her contributions in legal and government affairs fields in different multinational companies. She was the recipient of the Microsoft Circle of Excellence Award; honored in the Profiles in Diversity Journal in the 11th annual “Women Worth Watching” issue.
