Guillermo Marshall Rivera

Guillermo Marshall Rivera, Ph.D. is currently Provost at the Catholic University of Chile. He graduated in Mathematics and Statistics from this University, and received his Ph.D in Biostatistics from the University of Colorado at Denver, in 1990. He started his career as an assistant professor of Biostatistics at the University of Colorado and today he is Professor of Statistics at the Faculty of Mathematics. He has held several positions within the Catholic University of Chile, including Director of the Department of Public Health of the School of Medicine and Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics.
His research has focused mainly on the development of methodology and applications of statistical models for analyzing medical data and epidemiology. He is author and co-author of over 90 articles in international peer-reviewed journals and he has been cited more than 6,000 times based on Google Scholar.
