Environmental Engineer, with a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management, currently serves as Municipal Secretary of Sustainable City and Innovation for Salvador, Brazil. At the age of 30 he became the youngest top tier member at the Municipal Administration of the capital of Bahia. He is the National Coordinator for the Forum of Secretaries of Environment of the Brazilian Capitals (CB 27) and integrates the Council of ICLEI South America (Local Governments for Sustainability). André is the representative of Salvador at the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group. He is Fellow Member of the City Council, of the Municipal Council of Cultural Patrimony, and presides the Municipal Council of the Environment of Salvador.
