Raul Rodriguez

Associate VP for International Affairs at Monterrey Tech, the largest and most prestigious private university system in Latin America.

Raul has served as: CEO of the North American Development Bank; Executive Director at the Mexican Foreign Trade Bank; Mexico’s Trade Commissioner in Canada; and Distinguished Professor and the Tom Benson Chair in Banking and Finance at UIW, the largest Catholic University in Texas.

Raul has been Chairman of the North American Center at Arizona State University; the U.S.-Mexico Foundation in New York; the World Affairs Council of San Antonio; the Free Trade Alliance; and San Antonio’s Global Business Competitiveness Council. He has held key posts in more than 50 civic and international organizations, including the Harte Research Institute at Texas A&M University and the Latino Jewish Leadership Council.

Raul has written for publications in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, the U.K. and the Netherlands and speaking engagements have taken him to more than 30 countries. He has received numerous awards, including Spain’s King Felipe VI Order of Civil Merit and Mexico’s Ohtli award for Hispanic leaders. Raul is a graduate of Monterrey Tech and Harvard, where he was recognized as Littauer Fellow for his “commitment to excellence, academic achievement, and public service”. Raul has lived in the U.S. for 25 years; the past 23 in San Antonio.
