Emma Channing is currently the CEO and General Counsel of the Satis Group, — a full-service Initial Coin Offering (ICO) advisory firm on a mission to serve founders and emerging growth companies looking to launch new protocols, utility tokens, and security tokens. We are an experienced team that is looking to bring world-class advice to structuring and launching this innovative new financing mechanism. Areas of concentration include global capital markets, corporate finance, M&A, financial regulatory issues, global corporate governance, intellectual property, antitrust laws, fund formation, privacy laws, technology transactions and energy transactions.
Prior to joining to the Satis Group, Emma had spent several years in start-ups, particularly med-tech. This followed over a decade of experience in the law firms of Simpson Thacher, Skadden Arps and Herbert Smith Freehills. Emma has been involved with offerings of high-technology, e-commerce and healthcare as well as a wide variety of M&A and fund work. In addition, she has significant experience regarding high yield debt, novel securitizations, and private placements, and has spoken on these subjects at several conferences including the ABA’s Annual IP Conference and Token Summit.
Emma received her LLB and first LLM from Durham Law School (UK) in 1997 and 1998 respectively, and her second LLM from Stanford Law School in 2010. Her bar admissions include the UK, California and New York.
