Imagine to have a smart water network providing excellent services with energy efficiency for the citizens. SAP and Pro Lagos developed in 2016 the solution called Smart Water Network. Pro Lagos is part of AEGEA group. AEGEA Engineering manages assets through its dealerships in 8 states of the country. The company acts as manager of public concessions operating in all processes of the full cycle of water supply, collection and treatment of sewage in 44 cities reaching 3 million citizens. Pro Lagos is responsible for the water supply of the lake region in Rio de Janeiro’s cities guaranteeing water supply for Buzio’s Population in a more efficient way using SAP Leonardo technology. The solution consists on a proactive decision engine that intends to help the operators ensure quality water supply for the population in a smarter and much more effective way. Based on historical data, the team modeled the customer scenario into machine learning applications using concepts such as neural networks and time series forecast. The system is able to predict critical situations, suggest on how to solve them and allow the operator to simulate the impacts of the suggested actions in the system and then perform the changes needed.
